— Nimrod Vered, a longtime engineering leader in Seattle, joined Syndio as senior vice president of engineering.

Vered was most recently CTO at engineering insights startup Uplevel. He previously held engineering leadership roles at Zipwhip, Microsoft, VoloMetrix, and Cisco. Vered is also a limited partner at Seattle venture firms Graham & Walker and Voyager Capital.

Founded in 2017, Syndio analyzes workplace pay equity issues and provides strategies for fixing disparities. Customers include Siemens, Sweetgreen, American Airlines, Nordstrom, and others. The company has raised more than $83 million.

Chris Vonderhaar, a former Amazon Web Services executive who joined Google Cloud last year, has left the Silicon Valley company. Vonderhaar had been Google Cloud’s vice president of demand and supply management.

“We can confirm that Chris Vonderhaar made a personal decision to leave Google. We wish him the best in his future endeavors,” a Google spokesperson said. 

GeekWire has contacted Vonderhaar for comment and to learn about his post-Google plans. The news of his departure was first reported on X by Amy Nelson.

— Andrea James joined precision diagnostics company Oncocyte as chief financial officer. She was most recently chief communications officer at police body camera giant Axon, and previously worked for Tesla in investor relations.

Sri Shivananda, recently named global CTO at JPMorgan Chase, resigned from the board of Seattle application delivery giant F5.

Robert Villaseñor joined Seattle crypto startup Coinme as chief legal and compliance officer. Villaseñor was previously general counsel at MoneyGram International and also worked as a director for Starbucks.

Henry Prevette joined Seattle marketing technology company New Engen as vice president of business development and partnerships. Prevette was most recently an executive at impact.com.

Kurt Petersen joined Germany-based process orchestration company Camunda as senior vice president of customer success. Petersen previously was a vice president at UiPath, and also worked for Sapient Consulting, Kofax, and Kapow Software.

Christian Tinder was promoted to lead the Seattle market for EY, replacing Tim Tasker, who is retiring.

Ravel, a Seattle-based no-code orchestration software startup previously known as StratusCore, hired three new execs:

  • Philippa Carroll as chief product officer. Carroll previously worked at Glassbox Technologies, Isotropix, and Foundry.
  • Kaveh Goudarzian as vice president of product and engineering. Goudarzian worked for Resilience, Amazon, and Mercent.
  • Chad Knowles, chief revenue officer. Knowles worked for Other World COmputing, Artist Anywhere, and IBM.

Kalyan Rajamani joined First Tech Federal Credit Union as chief technology officer. Rajamani previously held the same role at PCR Financial Aggregation, Dynata, and The Nielsen Company.

— Anna Olson joined Seattle-based commercial real estate firm Urban Renaissance Group as vice president of human resources. Olson was most recently an HR director at Big Fish Games, and previously worked for Nintendo and Moss Adams.

— AB Chakravarthy and Shruti Goel in August will become co-CEOs for Upaya Social Ventures, a Seattle nonprofit creating “dignified jobs” in India and elsewhere through its startup accelerator and other programs. Both currently work at Upaya: Chakravarthy is the country director in India and Goel is the director of impact and partnerships. Former CEO Kate Cochran held the role at Upaya for more than eight years.

Tommy Morgan joined Bellevue, Wash.-based process intelligence and automation company Nintex as director of communications. He previously was a senior manager of public relations at Avalara.
